Honesty is the best policy!~~~or so they say!
This is the time of the week that we follow MckMama's example and share what we DID NOT DO this week~~so that others can share in the craziness of our lives and laugh with us!
~~~~~~~~~~
It was NOT ME! that grabbed a sweatshirt off of the bathroom counter and wore it all around town. It was NOT ME! that upon returning home and looking in the bathroom mirror realized that the entire top of the sweatshirt was covered in a baby oil stain.
~~~~~~~~~~
It was NOT ME! that then turned the stained sweatshirt inside out and continued wearing it through the rest of the day. UGH! Who would do that?I would never grab clothes from anywhere but the closet or dresser. I always look my best when I leave home!
~~~~~~~~~~~
It was NOT ME! that changed the lens on my camera so that I could take pictures of my family playing in the snow from the warmth of my kitchen. I clearly would have bundled up and went out and joined them in the cold!!
~~~~~~~~~~
It was NOT ME! that told my 12 year old that she was not using her Christmas gift card to buy gifts for her friends. What mother would encourage selfishness in her child? I would be proud of my daughter if she was so selfless as to think of others. I would NOT encourage greed! If I had actually said this, I would have been shocked at myself and told my daughter to buy whatever she wanted for her friends and apologized for my un~Christian behavior. It's a good thing I DID NOT say this because I hate to admit when I am wrong!!
~~~~~~~~~~
It certainly was NOT ME! that went through my entire house packing up boxes of toys, dishes, knick knacks, etc. to take to the Goodwill and women's shelter. It was NOT ME! that had to answer my husband's repeated questions, "Your getting rid of that?", "Why are you giving that away?", "That was a wedding gift, are you sure want to put that in the box?" It was definitely NOT ME! that told my pack rat husband that if he did not leave me alone to do my purging, I was going to put HIM in the box!
~~~~~~~~~~
It was NOT ME! that upon my husband accepting a job offer went out and spent money at my favorite store. After 4 months with no job, I certainly would wait for the first paycheck before I went out shopping! I am frugal and budget~bound!
~~~~~~~~~~
I am a very conscientious mother so it was NOT ME! that kept my 5 year old home from Kindergarten on Tuesday so that we could just stay in bed. I would never use the one hour delay to try to justify it. School is important and sending her for the two hours would have been just as beneficial as the full three hours. I am a former teacher! I know how important consistency in schoolwork is!
~~~~~~~~~~
And because I DID NOT allow my daughter to stay home on Tuesday, it was NOT ME! that received 2 requests from the school for a note excusing her absence. It was NOT ME! that after the second request for a written excuse (when there was no excuse to be given), sent in a note that stated: Emma M______ was absent on Tuesday, January 6 for no other reason than there was an hour delay and I kept her home to sleep. She was not sick. We were just lazy. Thank you, Mrs. M_____. Nope! NOT ME!

Can't wait to stop by your 'blog~world' and laugh with you about what you did NOT DO!!
